And a magnificent cameo as Thurston Howell in P.T. Anderson’s Magnolia.
Can’t beat the above, but he got to strut magnificently as the head Illinois Nazi in The Blues Brothers, and Joe Dante frequently threw Gibson into his mix of recurrent character actors…. particularly wonderful in the alas-not-all-that-wonderful The ‘Burbs.
