Because of something I bought through Amazon, I just got a free movie pass to go see Surrogates at any local movie theater. Does this mean I have to go see Surrogates? The trailer features a freakishly young Bruce Willis (in surrogate mode) with hair similar to that he wore in the Jackal remake. It looks scary.
I made an offer today in my 30-person class of a trade of my ticket (worth “up to $12”) to Surrogates in return for two tickets (which are free but were sold out by the time I checked) to Ed Helms who is coming back to Oberlin (he is an alum) to do a convocation talk. No takers.
I think you received the Surrogates tickets as some kind of punishment. Do not taunt the Amazon gods–suck it up and see Willis and his cockatiel crest of orangish hair.
I just saw some French thing called Frontiers, which suggests either a) I too am being punished by some vengeful gods or b) I’m an idiot. Perhaps both. It reminded me of Four Weddings and a Funeral, but with more Aryan cannibalism. (It was maybe a little funnier.)
